The Volcano Adapter V3 has been specifically designed for use with Bondtech CHT nozzles with the aim of optimising the flow performance of a Volcano hotend with a V6 nozzle. The nickel-plated copper adapter is also compatible with all other standard-length V6 nozzles!
The lead and cadmium-free adapter is designed for temperatures of up to 400 °C and is suitable for all types of materials - including abrasive materials such as CF, wood and glow-in-the-dark filaments.
The adapter features a stepless 2mm hex design for optimal extrusion performance (a 2mm hex wrench is included). The design has also been optimised for hot tightening.
Tip: The V3 adapter can be used to install any standard-length V6 nozzle into a Volcano heater block. It bridges the 8.5 mm difference in length between standard and Volcano nozzles. This means you don¡¯t need separate nozzles.
Installing the adapter in a Volcano hotend:
*Please do not use a ball head hexagon wrench as this could damage the hexagon of the adapter.
Remember to leave a small gap between the nozzle and the heating block. This way you can be sure that you have tightened the nozzle against the adapter and not against the heating block. If this is not the case, plastic could leak through the thread.
