The Alveo3D UM55 filter is an innovative solution for your Ultimaker FDM printing system that provides effective air filtration through a special HEPA 13 filter in combination with activated carbon.

• The HEPA 13 filter removes over 99.95% of particles from a size of 300 nm, including viruses, bacteria and allergens.

• The 1-3 mm activated carbon granules remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and unpleasant odours that can occur during printing. With a service life of up to 900 hours, the activated carbon content ensures long-term efficiency.

Cleanliness + optimised air circulation

The UM55 filter is not only designed to filter harmful particles and odours, but also to optimise air circulation within the printing chamber. This helps to maintain a constant temperature and avoid temperature fluctuations that could affect print quality.

Perfect compatibility with Ultimaker Air Manager

The UM55 filter can be easily integrated into the Air Manager filtration systems of the Ultimaker S5, S7 and S8 without the need for complicated modifications. The filter can be installed or replaced in less than a minute, making filtration system maintenance a breeze without the need for technical expertise. The best thing about the UM55 filter: by adding activated carbon, it improves the absorption of VOCs and odours, which is not included in the original filter.

• Nylon mesh: A durable nylon mesh protects the HEPA media and ensures that filtration performance is maintained.

• HEPA 13: The pleated class 13 HEPA filter, impregnated with cotton, provides effective protection against emitted nanoparticles and is certified to EN1822.

• Cardboard frame: The use of a cardboard frame reduces plastic waste and contributes to the lightweight construction of the filter.

• Activated carbon: A special mixture of activated carbon (150 g) tailored to the treatment of VOCs ensures a safe printing environment.

• 5 mm EPDM foam: The EPDM foam ensures optimum sealing of the connection all round and at the front.

?It is recommended to replace the filter after 3 months of intensive use and after 6 months of occasional use (even when not in use).

Tip: The UM55 Filter Efficiency Test (see photo) shows how the filter performs under real conditions when used with ASA filaments. The UM55 filter impresses with an average filter efficiency of 96.36 % - even with ultra-fine particles between 10 and 200 nm.
