The CNC-milled threaded inserts made of high-quality brass are a practical accessory that transforms your 3D-printed plastic parts (made of PLA, PETG, ABS, etc.) into practical and versatile functional components.
The cadmium- and lead-free thread inserts are inserted or melted in with a soldering iron. They increase the strength of the resulting connection by bonding the thread insert to the material and preventing it from moving.
Tip: For maximum strength, you should install the brass inserts at a temperature that is 10-20 °C higher than the printing temperature. CNC Kitchen also recommends only melting 90% of the threaded inserts with a soldering iron - the rest can be fitted into the component using tools.
