Upgrade kit with an optimized design
This is the latest generation Bondtech upgrade for the popular Prusa I3 MK2.5S/MK3S, which has been optimised for the community.
BondTech extruder for the Prusa i3 MK3S
This kit contains the parts necessary to convert your current extruder to our own popular design. It is based on our BMI extruder (Bondtech Mini Geared) with a 3: 1 gear ratio for better precision and resolution, as well as optimized geometry for heat sink cooling and professional SLS 3D printed housing.
With this version, we also lower the weight of the movement to reduce ghosting and vibration or to increase the printing speed. A weight saving of 15% has been achieved.

This extruder upgrade kit is for the Prusa i3 MK3S or other Prusa i3 models upgraded to the MK3S.

The improved mount design improves cooling and reduces the problem of thermal creep that occurs with all-metal hotends when printing with PLA. This small improvement avoids many blockages. The increased compressive force dramatically reduces slippage, shredding and deformation of the filament and avoids most of the 3D printing problems of filaments encountered.
Updating the firmware
To use this upgrade in the MK3S, the E-Steps must be updated to 830 because a 32-bit micro stepper is used.
To use the upgrade kit we needed a new X-Carriage. This can be bought, or even printed.
