Description

The Bambu Lab AMS Hub enables the expansion of the AMS capacity from one AMS unit (4 channels) to up to four AMS units (16 channels). This increases the refill speed across multiple AMS units and improves signal transmission through buffered redundancy.

Important! The AMS Hub contains all the accessories required to connect two (!) AMS units to the printer. Additional bus cables and PTFE hoses are required to integrate further AMS units. To operate a total of four AMS units, two additional 6-pin bus cables and two PTFE hoses, each 2 metres long, are required.

Note: The printer's built-in buffer supports only one AMS unit. By using the AMS Hub, it is possible to connect up to four AMS units.

Installation:

  1. Mount the AMS Hub on the back of the printer instead of the filament buffer. Connect the AMS Hub to the printer using the appropriate Bambu Lab 4-pin cable. Use the Bambu Lab 6-pin cable to connect the AMS Hub to the first AMS unit. Further AMS units should also be connected in series using the 6-pin cable.
  2. Use the appropriate PTFE tube to connect the AMS Hub to the air connection on the back of the printer. Guide the PTFE tube between the 4-pin connector and the coil holder to minimise resistance.
  3. Choose a suitable length of PTFE tube depending on the placement of the printer and the AMS units. The pipe should be as short and straight as possible to minimise the conveying resistance.
