The Warpaints Fanatic: Ruddy Browns from The Army Painter bring warm, reddish-brown nuances to your miniatures and give them a rustic charm. These unique tones are ideal for depicting natural wood structures, sunburnt armour or detailed landscapes. With Ruddy Browns, you can conjure up the warm glow of old leather, the depth of weathered stone and the vibrancy of autumnal forests.
The key to these resin-based acrylic paints lies in the special binders (so-called proprietary stabilisers), which ensure excellent adhesion to various surfaces, even distribution of the pigments, long-lasting colour and easy application.
Note: Each colour is offered individually so you can choose the exact shades that perfectly complement your creations.
What is the Flexible Colour Triad System?
With the Flexible Colour Triad System, The Army Painter has developed a clever concept that simplifies colour mixing and colour selection when painting miniatures. Each triad consists of six colours, which are all based on a common base colour. These colours range from very dark to very light, creating a harmonious colour palette.
The system is flexible as you can try out different combinations within a triad to achieve different effects. The clear structure of the triads makes it easier to select suitable colours and create colour gradients.
How does the flexible system work in practice?
- Selecting the triad: Choose a triad that matches your desired colour scheme (e.g. warm tones, cold tones or metallic effects).
- Base colour: Start with the darkest colour of the triad as a base coat.
- Shades: Work your way towards the centre with the middle tones and create highlights with the lightest colour.
- Variations: Mix colours from different triads to create individual shades.
